Overview
Klaviyo lets your agent look up a matched customer: their profile, the mailing lists they receive and what was recently sent to them.
It can also stop marketing email to that customer. This is a change, so it can be held for a team member's approval.
The journey at a glance
- 1Find KlaviyoOpen Integrations, search for Klaviyo and click Connect.
- 2Connect and approve accessStart the connection and approve only if you trust the app.
- 3Check the connectionConfirm Connected and test the connection.
- 4Choose what the agent can doEnable the reads and any approved change for this agent.
- 5Test safely and review approvalsTry a read, then a held change with a test profile.
Before you start
You need access to the correct Klaviyo account and permission to authorize integrations.
No API key
This connection uses a sign-in and approval flow. There are no API-key, site-address or field-mapping boxes to fill in.
Step 1
Find Klaviyo
- 1Open your Cevanos agent and go to Deployment → Integrations.
- 2Search for Klaviyo under Marketing. Click Connect on its Available card.
Result
The Connect Klaviyo wizard opens.
Step 2
Connect and approve access
- 1In the Before you start dialog, click Connect Klaviyo.
- 2If Klaviyo shows an app-review warning, check the app and organization. Select Continue only if you trust the connection.
- 3Review the requested account, events, lists, metrics, profiles and subscription permissions. Click Allow to authorize, or Deny to stop.
Result
After approval, Cevanos can establish the connection. Authorization does not by itself enable agent actions.
Step 3
Check the connection
- 1Open the connected Klaviyo card in Integrations.
- 2Check the Connected status and use Test connection if needed.
- 3Click Choose what it can do.
Result
The workspace connection is active.
Step 4
Choose what the agent can do
Enable only the capabilities the agent needs. Four actions are available: three reads and one change.
| Action | Type | When available |
|---|---|---|
| Find this customer | Read | After customer matching |
| Find which mailings this customer receives | Read | After customer matching |
| Find what was sent to this customer | Read | After customer matching |
| Stop marketing email to this customer | Change | After matching; follow approval controls |
Result
Enabled reads can retrieve matched-customer information; the change follows the configured approval setting.
Step 5
Test safely and review approvals
- 1In Agent → Playground, select a test identity that matches a Klaviyo customer.
- 2Ask a read-only question, such as “Which mailings do I receive?” Confirm that the agent returns only that customer's information.
- 3For a subscription-change test, use a test profile. Leave Wait for approval selected and review the request in Operations → Pending actions before approving.
Do not test opt-outs on real customers
Only use real customers with authorization. All four actions require a matched customer. Reads never need approval; the marketing-email change can be held for human approval.

Troubleshooting
| Problem | What to check |
|---|---|
| Klaviyo shows an unreviewed-app warning | Verify the app and account with your administrator. Do not continue if you do not trust it. |
| The connection is not completed | Check that you approved the requested access on the correct Klaviyo account. |
| The agent cannot find a profile | Check the customer identity match and whether the relevant read action is switched on. |
| A change does not run immediately | Check whether it is waiting in Operations → Pending actions. |
| Access stops working | Use Test connection; reconnect if the authorization was revoked or expired. |
Optional
Disconnect Klaviyo
Open the Klaviyo integration page and select Disconnect Klaviyo. Review agent capabilities again if you reconnect.
Your data stays
Disconnecting removes Cevanos's access. It does not delete Klaviyo data.
Ready to connect Klaviyo?
Open your agent's Integrations and click Connect on the Klaviyo card.
