Overview
Pipedrive is a sales CRM. Once it is connected, your AI agent can find the customer it is talking to in Pipedrive, look up their company and their deals, and read one deal in detail. It can also log a note on the customer, create the customer and correct their name or phone number.
Unlike a Custom Action, you do not define the actions yourself. Cevanos supplies a fixed set of seven, four reads and three that change something, and you choose which of them your agent gets.

Before you start
You need a Pipedrive login for the company you want to connect.
No API key
There is nothing to type or paste in Cevanos. Pipedrive uses a log-in and approve screen.
Step 1
Find Pipedrive
- 1In the Cevanos dashboard, open your agent and click Integrations in the left sidebar.
- 2Type Pipedrive in the search box, or look under the CRM section.
- 3Check the badge on the card. Available means it is not connected yet.

Result
You are ready to connect. Click Connect to start the next step.
Step 2
Connect Pipedrive
2a. Before you start
- 1Click Connect on the Pipedrive card. The Connect Pipedrive pop-up opens.
- 2Read the note: one click, you log in to Pipedrive and approve access. Nothing else is asked of you here.
- 3Click Connect Pipedrive.
Nothing is saved yet
Nothing is saved until you approve access, and you can stop anywhere.

2b. Log in to Pipedrive
Cevanos sends you to Pipedrive's own log-in page. Type your Pipedrive email and password, then click Log in.

2c. Approve access
Pipedrive shows an Authorize application page for Cevanos. It shows where the approval will be sent and which company and user it applies to.
- 1Check the company in the dropdown and the user next to it. Pipedrive asks you to check that the correct company account is selected.
- 2If Pipedrive says App already installed, click Continue to the App. Click Cancel to stop.
- 3You are sent back to Cevanos.

2d. Connected
On the Integrations page, search for Pipedrive. The badge now says Connected and the card shows Choose what it can do.

Result
Pipedrive is connected for the workspace.
Step 3
Check the Pipedrive page
Click the Pipedrive card on the Integrations page to open the Pipedrive page.
- 1Read the header: the status (Connected), the category (CRM) and the Choose what it can do button.
- 2Field mapping lists the fields Cevanos is allowed to read. If a field is not listed, it is never read. On a new connection it says “Nothing mapped yet”.
- 3Activity shows the calls the agent has made, kept for 30 days. After connecting it shows one row, “Checked the connection”.
- 4Permissions granted shows what Pipedrive granted and what Cevanos requested. If a permission is missing, a box explains which actions cannot run and offers Ask for it back.
- 5Scroll down to see Health and the Test connection button.

Result
You can confirm Pipedrive is connected. Use Test connection at any time to check that Cevanos can still reach Pipedrive.
Step 4
Choose what it can do
Click Choose what it can do on the Pipedrive card or page. A pop-up lists the seven capabilities. Each row has two checkboxes: Workspace and This agent.
Workspace starts unticked
Right after connecting, This agent is ticked for every row and Workspace is not. Only what is ticked in both columns actually runs.

- 1Workspace: tick it for each capability Pipedrive is allowed to supply at all. This applies to every agent in the workspace.
- 2This agent: tick it for each capability this agent should use.
- 3Tick or untick under Reads (look something up) and Does (change something).
- 4Click Save capabilities, or Cancel to leave without changes.
Result
The capabilities you ticked in both columns can now run. If you leave Workspace unticked, Actions shows them as stopped by your administrator.
Step 5
Set up Actions and approvals
The Actions page shows what the agent actually has, and lets you decide which changes need a person to approve them first.
- 1In the left sidebar, click Actions. Under CRM and marketing, find the Pipedrive card. It shows how many actions are on, how many are Reads or Does, and how many cannot run.
- 2Click the card. A panel slides in from the right.
- 3Use the filter chips (All, On, Reads, Does, Waits for approval, Cannot run) to narrow the list.
- 4In When this agent does something on Pipedrive, choose Run without approval or Wait for approval for the Does actions.
- 5Each action has its own switch. Each Does action also has a dropdown, which defaults to “Waits for approval — Same as the system”.
Stopped by your administrator
Before Workspace is ticked in Choose what it can do, the card shows “7 cannot run” and each action carries a red Stopped by your administrator tag. After you tick Workspace and save, the tags go away.

Result
You know which Pipedrive actions can run, which wait for approval, and which are stopped.
Step 6
Try it
| Ask | What to check |
|---|---|
| “What is the status of my deal?” | The agent uses a Pipedrive action, and the call appears in Activity on the Pipedrive page. |
- 1Open the Playground for your agent.
- 2Make sure the conversation has a matched customer. Every Pipedrive action needs one.
- 3Ask a question that should use a Pipedrive action, such as the one above.
- 4For an action that changes something, check the Pending actions list if you chose Wait for approval.
- 5Back on the Pipedrive page, the Activity table shows each call and its result.
